Kurt Worthington grew up in the CSRA and graduated from Lakeside High School. He attended the University of Georgia and graduated cum laude before obtaining his law degree from the University of South Carolina. While in law school, he was a student note editor for the Southeastern Environmental Law Journal. Kurt is licensed to practice in both Georgia and South Carolina.
Kurt has experience in a variety of practice areas, including real estate, local government representation, and appellate practice. Kurt has performed closing throughout the State of Georgia and has assisted in commercial and residential transactions through the CSRA. Kurt has also provide legal counsel to several local governments, including the Cities of Washington, Harlem, and Lincolnton, as well as the firms’ other clients. During his career, Kurt has successfully argued several cases before the Supreme Court of Georgia and Georgia Court of Appeals. Additionally, Kurt has experience in representing employers and employees in workers’ compensation matters in both Georgia and South Carolina and has conducted adoption proceedings for several clients.
Kurt currently lives in Evans with his wife Courtney and their two sons, Kyler and Will, and his daughter, Claire. He is a member of First Baptist Church of Augusta, and a past member of the Rotary Club of Columbia County.
